Simplify the countertop process

When building a new home or remodeling your current one, there are a gazillion decisions that must be made. Countertops are just one of them. We know that choosing the right color, the perfect material, size and style can be a bit overwhelming, which is why we have made it super simple for our clients. We have created a unique Buyer's

Guide that you won't find at any other countertop shop. Not only have we have laid out all of the steps to choosing your perfect countertop, but we are with you every step of the way - before, during and after choosing Valley View Granite.

Our Buyer's Guide consists of ten steps which we encourage our clients to follow for the best possible countertop buying experience. While our buyer's guide provides an in depth explanation of each step of the process, we would like to explain the basics of each step that you will go through when purchasing countertops through Valley View

Granite, but our full Buyer's Guide can be found here.

Step 1 - Pre-Template Decisions and Information

We want to get to know you! Your goals for your project. The motif or style you are interested in. Are cabinets involved? Are you working with a contractor, designer, etc.? We want to know it all! This is how we can give you the best service, product and customer care that we possibly can. After all, this is YOUR project and we want it to be just how YOU would like!

Step 2 - Design Choices

Now this is where the fun (and lots of decision making) begins! This is when we want to help you choose the overall style/look you are wanting to achieve. We help you with choosing material thickness and edges - do you want a rounded edge or square? Maybe chiseled or beveled? Already overwhelmed? Don't worry! We have lots of samples and pictures for you to look at to find your desired look!

This is where we also want to know about any overhangs, appliances, sinks, faucets, backsplashes, plumbing, electrical, cutouts and caulking that will need to be taken into consideration when choosing a style for your space.

Step 3 - Material Decision

And the fun continues! At first, you may feel overwhelmed with a choosing a color and/or material for your space - we want to make this as fun and as easy as possible for you! We like to live by this good design rule, "Contrast not compete." This means that often, a darker material will compliment a lighter cabinet, and vice versa. Having paint, flooring and cabinet samples with you can help with countertop decisions.

Not only will you be choosing a color, but you will also have to consider what type of material you would like to use. We specialize in many types of countertops including: Granite, Marble, Travertine, Soapstone, Serpentine, Slate, Sandstone, Quartzite, Quartz, and Tile Slab. Each material has it's pros and cons, so figuring out what works best for you and your space is something we love to help our clients do!

Step 4 - Layout Approval

Because of the ample experience of the professionals at Valley View Granite, we always determine the layout and placement in accordance with industry standards. This means that we make every effort to ensure that joints are placed in the best location for structural integrity and aesthetic value.

One of the advantages that Valley View Granite offers, is your ability to view your layout prior to purchasing. We want to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your countertops!

Step 5 - Order Finalized

Now that you have selected your material, color, and layout, it's time to finalize everything! We sign paperwork and collect a deposit so we can begin to make your countertop dreams come true!

Step 6 - Scheduling Your Project

Once everything for your order has been completed, your project will be submitted to a VVG Project Manager who will review everything. They will be working closely with you to ensure your project runs smoothly through the measuring, fabrication, and installation processes.

Step 7 - Day of Template

Your templating specialist will be measuring and electronically creating the final CAD drawings for production. Our goal is to be fabricating your job within 4-8 hours after it has been field measured, in order to provide the best possible processing time. These template appointments usually last between 30 minutes to one hour.

Step 8 - After Template Adjustments

You're getting so close! After a template has been created, your Project Manager will send you a confirmation and arrange an installation date. With a 24-hour a day production team, VVG offers some of the fastest turn around times in the industry.

Step 9 - Day of Install

It's here! The day has come when you get to see all of your choices of your desired style come to fruition. We do everything we can to be as quick and efficient as possible when installing your brand new countertops. We ALWAYS want our customers to be happy with our product and work, so we ask that any installation work be inspected for quality and suitability at time of the install.
